Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour (unbleached)
2 Tbsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. honey
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 c. diced apples
lemon juice
1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation

Measure flour into sifter; add baking powder, salt and sugar. Beat egg and blend in milk.
Add apples, sprinkled with lemon juice.
Sift in dry ingredients and add melted butter.
Beat until just mixed.
Bake on hot griddle.
Serve with melted butter and top with jelly.
