Prune Ribbon Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. pitted prunes (2 c.)
    1/4 c. honey
    1/4 large lemon
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
Preparation
    About 3 hours to 2 weeks ahead, heat prunes and 1 cup of water to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover and simmer 3 minutes. Drain well.
    In blender on high, put prunes, honey and lemon.
    Do not peel.
