Spaghetti The Hard Way (But Worth It) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 cloves garlic
    1.5 to 2 lb. hamburger
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large bell pepper, chopped
    1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 small can tomato paste
    4 to 6 Tbsp. oregano
    3 bay leaves
    2 tsp. rosemary
    3 tsp. sweet basil
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    water
Preparation
    Cook hamburger in skillet and drain.
    In a large Dutch oven, heat oil and cook onion and bell pepper.
    Add meat and garlic.
    Add tomatoes (sauce, paste and crushed).
    Add 2 cups water and mushrooms.
    Add spices, except sugar, and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 4 hours.
    Add sugar and continue to simmer 30 minutes.
    When simmering, check and stir frequently.
    Add water when necessary.
    Remove bay leaves and serve over pasta.
