Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. celery, cut up (including green tops)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
    2 qt. water
    4 c. cabbage, shredded
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. liquid sugar substitute
    2 c. diced tomatoes
    6 peppercorns
    2 envelopes powdered chicken broth
    2 Tbsp. salt or to taste
Preparation
    Cook celery and onion in water. Mash them through a strainer, extracting all juices. Add juices to cabbage and lemon juice. Cook for 1 hour. Stir in sugar substitute, tomatoes, peppercorns and chicken broth.
    Cook 1 hour longer.
    Season with salt.
    Serves 4.
