Carrot Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
1 c. raisins
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cloves
2 large finely grated carrots (they disappear and no one ever knows)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a medium-size saucepan, put sugar, water, raisins, butter, cloves, carrots, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Simmer all together for 5 minutes, then cover and rest it for 12 hours.
This is very important.
The next day, add nuts, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Bake in two oiled loaf pans or one tube pan at 275\u00b0 for 2 hours.
