Black Walnut Cake Ii - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. half and half
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. black walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening.
Add sugar and beat until very light.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flavoring and beat again.
Mix flour with baking powder.
Add alternately the flour mixture and the milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Fold in walnuts.
