Salmon Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and chopped into 1/4-inch cubes or 1 (7 1/2 oz.) can salmon, drained
    2 mushrooms, minced
    1 Tbsp. celery, chopped
    1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. fresh chives, chopped or 1 tsp. dried chives
    1 garlic clove, finely chopped
    1 egg white
    1 Tbsp. fresh basil, crushed, or 1 tsp. dried
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Place salmon in mixing bowl, stir in the mushrooms, celery, onion, chives, garlic, egg white and basil.
    Shape into 2 patties. Heat vegetable oil in a saute pan until hot.
    Add salmon cakes, cook for 2 minutes on each side.
    Careful when turning them over. Serve with steamed vegetables.
