Strawberry Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen sliced strawberries
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 strawberry jam
Preparation

Empty strawberries into a medium-sized saucepan.
Cook over medium-low heat 10 to 15 minutes, or until berries are thawed and can be broken apart.
Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.
In a small bowl, combine the sugar and the cornstarch; mix well.
Pour the mixture into the pan with the berries; stir with wooden spoon. Continue cooking over medium-low heat until mixture comes to a boil, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Move pan from heat; add jam.
Let stand 1 minute, then mix.
Serve warm over ice cream or cake. Refrigerate leftover sauce in closed container.
Re-use over a few days.
Makes 2 cups.
