Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. whole milk (a little less)
    1 c. long grain white rice
    sugar to taste
    3 cinnamon sticks
Preparation
    In a medium-large saucepan, pour half of milk, rice and cinnamon sticks.
    Turn heat to high and cook until mixture starts to come to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
    When mixture starts to boil, begin to stir very frequently (almost constantly), adding milk when necessary.
    Cook for about 45 minutes, adding sugar to taste.
    When rice is done and pudding is a pretty thick consistency, pour into bowl.
    Let cool before putting into fridge. Excellent cold.
