Gingerbread With Vanilla Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 box light brown sugar
    1 1/2 sticks oleo
    2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs (unbeaten)
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cut flour, oleo and sugar together.
    Set aside 1 cup of mix. In remainder, sprinkle soda and spices.
    Then add eggs and mix well.
    Lightly stir in buttermilk.
    Pour in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle rest of mixture over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    When ready to serve, top with Vanilla or Rum Sauce, if desired.
