Scalloped Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cooked carrots
    1 medium onion
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 can cream of celery soup or cream of mushroom
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
    3 c. seasoned croutons
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Cook carrots; drain.
    Saute onion in 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in soup, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup cheese.
    Mix with carrots in casserole.
    Toss bread croutons in 1/2 cup butter (melted). Arrange on carrots; top with 1 cup of remaining cheese.
