Raspberry Rectangles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. coconut
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour plus 1 Tbsp.
    1 (12 oz.) jar raspberry jam
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    Mix, then add all dry ingredients.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Pat 2/3 of mix into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Then spread jam over this.
    Add remaining mix on top and pat down.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle with 10x sugar.
