Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 slices bacon, sauteed and crumbled
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 scant c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    any amount lettuce, chopped
    leaf or head radishes, chopped if desired, and/or green onions or regular onions, sliced
Preparation
    Put chopped lettuce (and green onions and/or radishes) in large metal or glass bowl.
    Add bacon and toss.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and water together until dissolved.
    Then pour vinegar and sugar mixture over lettuce; toss some more, cover with a lid or plate to keep warm.
