Chewy Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 box light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Melt butter in a double boiler, then add sugar; stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. (Do not use an electric mixer.) Add flour, vanilla and nuts; mix well. Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
