Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    2 sticks margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Boil raisins and water for 5 minutes and let cool.
    Cream the margarine and sugar together; add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
    Add to creamed mixture, blending well.
    Stir in raisins and 1 cup chopped nuts may be added, if desired.
    Drop by tablespoons on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
