Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3 to 4 c. finely chopped apples
    2 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of clove
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and butter.
    Add eggs (well beaten) and apples.
    Sift and add the rest of the ingredients.
    Bake in well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    (Very thick.)
