Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut up
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown chicken in oil.
    Add onion and garlic; cook until onion begins to turn golden.
    Add tomatoes, salt, oregano and pepper. Simmer 40 to 50 minutes.
    Add a little water if it gets dry. Serve over rice or spaghetti.
