Crust For Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1 large can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Mix all together and knead to hold together. Roll some dough out the size of a saucer. Fill 1/2 of the dough with sweetened dried fruit or fresh fruit. Dot with butter. Fold the other half over on top of fruit and crimp the edge. Fry in oil. Let one side get brown, then turn over. This dough keeps well in freezer.
