Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 pkg. lemon Jell-O
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/2 pt. cream (8 oz. Cool Whip)
Preparation
    Heat sugar and pineapple to boiling.
    Remove from heat; add Jell-O which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup cold water.
    Let stand until congealed (put in refrigerator).
    Add cheese and Cool Whip.
