1-2-3 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    4 eggs (1 at a time), beaten well
    1 c. water
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla (add last)
Preparation
    Mix ingredients and bake at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes.
    Test for doneness at the 25 minute point.
    Use sheet cake, 9 X 13 inch, or 2 to 3
    9 inch pans.
    Items should be room temperature so cake will rise higher.
    Freezes very well.
    You can substitute flavorings such as almond or butter for the vanilla flavoring.
