Traditional Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. apple cider
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Add all ingredients to saucepan, mixing sugar until dissolved. Bring to boiling point over low heat.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Ready to serve in hot mugs.
    Yields approximately 2 quarts.
