Five Hour Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. stew meat
    8 potatoes
    2 small onions (use less if desired)
    2 tomato cans water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    pepper to taste
    8 carrots
    4 ribs celery
    2 large cans tomatoes
    6 Tbsp. tapioca
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Spread the stew meat over the bottom of a roaster or Dutch oven.
    Cut the carrots, celery, potatoes and onions into large pieces.
    Arrange them over the meat.
    Pour the canned tomatoes over all, then pour the cans of water over the tomatoes.
    Sprinkle with the tapioca and seasoning.
    Cover and bake at 275\u00b0 for 4 hours. (There is no reason to look during this time.)
    Then, remove the cover and bake 1 hour more (this thickens the stew).
