Ingredients

3/4 c. Jif creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. Crisco
3 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine Jif, Crisco, light brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended.
Add egg and beat until blended.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
Add to creamed mixture at low speed.
Mix just until blended.
Drop onto ungreased baking sheet and flatten slightly with tines of fork. Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes or until set and beginning to brown.
Cool 2 minutes on sheet and then remove to foil on countertop to cool completely.
Yields about 3 dozen.
