Cheese Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cranberries, cut in halves
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    2 tsp. grated orange peel
    1 1/2 c. finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter, melted and cooled
Preparation
    Mix cranberries and 1/2 cup sugar well.
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together into a large bowl.
    Mix in the sugared cranberries, walnuts, orange peel and cheese.
    Beat the egg, milk and butter together.
    Add to mixture in bowl; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and spread evenly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour or until bread tests done.
    Cool bread 10 minutes in pan or on wire rack; remove from pan and cool before slicing.
    To store, wrap and refrigerate.
    Makes 1 loaf.
