Texas Tacos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 onion (chopped fine)
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium ripe tomato (chopped fine)
    dash of picante sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    tortillas
    hot oil
    chopped lettuce
    chopped tomatoes
    grated cheese
    chopped onion (optional)
Preparation
    Saute chopped onion in bacon drippings, add ground beef, cook until done, add chopped tomatoes, picante, salt and pepper.
    Fry tortillas in hot oil, drain on paper towels, either flat or folded.
    Fill with meat mixture, add chopped lettuce, tomatoes, top with cheese and serve immediately.
    Onions and picante may be added, if desired.
