Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 carton heavy whipping cream
    1 qt. half and half
    1 can diced clams, drained
    1 can whole baby clams, drained
    instant potatoes (for thickening)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil carrots and potatoes with just enough water to cover them. Do not drain. Add butter, whipping cream and 3/4 of half and half. Bring to a slight boil. Add drained clams. Boil. Add instant potatoes to thicken. If too thick, add half and half or milk. Salt and pepper.
