Ingredients

1 stick butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. Karo syrup
4 eggs
1 pie crust
Preparation

Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate on low heat.
In another bowl, beat until light the eggs.
Blend in Karo syrup.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Add chocolate mixture to bowl and mix together. Pour over pie crust and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until pie is crusty and filling soft like custard.
Makes 2 pies.
