Apple Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 apples
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar and butter. Pat half this mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. In a saucepan, mix together sugar, salt, cornstarch and water. Cook until thickened. Add vanilla and butter. Pare apples (I use 4 cups of apples); slice thin and add to cooked mixture, tossing lightly to mix. Spread evenly over crumbs. Pat remaining crumbs over apple mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
