Delicious Pizza-Flavored Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, thinly slivered
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes (and their liquid)
    3 1/2 c. beef broth
    2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 medium potatoes, cubed
    1 lb. green beans, cooked
    2 c. spaghetti or spaghetti squash
    1/2 c. nonfat Parmesan cheese
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place onion, garlic, undrained tomatoes, broth, water, salt, pepper and potatoes in a large soup pot.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Add spaghetti or squash.
    Boil, stirring occasionally, until spaghetti is tender, about 10 minutes.
    Add beans and heat through.
    Gradually add cheese 2 tablespoons at a time, stirring after each addition.
    In a blender, process remaining ingredients until smooth, adding 1 tablespoon water if needed.
    Pour this mixture into the soup and stir.
