Luscious Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks (reserve whites in large bowl of electric mixer)
1/2 c. lime juice
1/4 c. water
few drops green food coloring
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. whipping cream
1 baked 9-inch pastry shell

Preparation

In 4-quart saucepan, combine gelatin, 1/2 cup sugar and salt. In mixing bowl, with wooden spoon, mix egg yolks, lime juice and water.
Add to saucepan and mix well.
Over medium heat, cook and stir just until mixture comes to full boil.
The mixture will have started thickening.
