Poor Man'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 c. raisins
1 c. nuts
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
2 1/2 c. flour

Preparation

Combine all but last 2 ingredients and boil.
Let cool.
Add soda and flour.
Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
