Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 lb. Kraft caramels (28)
Preparation
    Combine sugar, margarine and milk.
    Cook, stirring frequently until little of mixture forms very soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat.
    Add caramels and vanilla.
    Beat until caramels are melted and icing is of spreading consistency.
