Cowboy Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. margarine
1 lb. ground meat
1 chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 clove garlic or powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. chili powder
3 c. water
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 large can tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel yellow corn
2 cans Trappey's pinto beans, drain off most of juice (I use jalapeno pinto beans for spicier stew)
6 medium potatoes, cubed
Preparation

Use large Dutch oven.
Brown meat in margarine.
Add next 5 ingredients.
Mix well.
Add remaining ingredients, mix and bring to a boil.
Stir constantly.
Reduce heat and cover, stirring often.
Simmer until potatoes are done.
Serve with cornbread.
