Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 c. peanuts (raw)
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine corn syrup, sugar, water and margarine in 2-quart saucepan.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook, without stirring, to thread stage.
    Stir in peanuts and cook until golden brown.
    Remove from heat.
    Add soda and salt; blend quickly, but thoroughly.
    Turn onto heavy greased baking sheet.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
