Low Country Boil - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. water
    1/4 c. crab or shrimp boil spice
    salt and black pepper to taste
    2 lb. smoked sausage, cut 1 inch long
    12 half-ears corn-on-the-cob
    12 small potatoes, with peeling on
    12 small onions, peeled
    1 lb. shrimp or 1 doz. crabs*
Preparation
    *Shrimp or crab must be cleaned and ready to cook.
