Pasties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. flank steak
    6 to 8 potatoes
    1 onion, minced
    1/2 lb. pork
    6 carrots or small rutabaga
Preparation
    I use packaged pie crust.
    Cut flank steak and pork into small pieces.
    Grate potatoes, carrots and onion.
    Put all in 1 large bowl.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Roll out dough larger than pie shape.
    Place ingredients on dough (enough for 1/2 pie).
    Place pat of butter on top and close up dough.
    Put 3 slits in top of dough.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
    At the end of this time, put 1 tablespoon of water in the slits in each pie.
    Bake 5 minutes longer.
