Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large sweet potatoes or yams
    2/3 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    cinnamon and nutmeg to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Cook potatoes until tender.
    Slice 1/2-inch thick.
    Put in layers.
    Dot each layer with half the butter.
    Melt the rest of the butter with orange juice and brown sugar.
    Blend well and pour over sweet potatoes.
    Simmer, basting often, for about 15 minutes or bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes Sprinkle with cinnamon and/or nutmeg to taste (optional).
