Shortribs Debbie'S Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. beef shortribs, cut 2 to 3-inch lengths
    1 onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2/3 c. ketchup
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Place shortribs on broiler pan.
    Broil until well browned to remove excess fat.
    Transfer to slow cooker.
    Saute onion in butter until limp and golden.
    Pour in ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and soy sauce.
    Heat until blended.
    Pour over ribs.
    Cover. Cook on low setting 8 hours.
    Makes 4 servings.
