Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water (that beets were cooked in)
    salt (1 tsp. to each qt.)
Preparation
    Wash beets thoroughly.
    Boil until tender; slip peelings off. Cut, if needed.
    Place in jars.
    Add salt, then brine.
    Seal jars. Heat in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
