Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream
    oleo,
    Crisco
    and
    sugar.
    Add egg yolks.
    Beat well. Sift
    flour,
    soda and salt;
    add small amount to first mixture. Add
    milk, vanilla, nuts and coconut, then remaining flour.
    Mix well and fold in egg whites that are beaten stiff. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Makes 3 to 4 layers.
