Morrilyn'S First Prize Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 large red onion, chopped
    1 large bell pepper, chopped
    2 1/2 lb. tri tip, cubed
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tsp. dry leaf oregano
    2 tsp. dry leaf basil
    3 Tbsp. chili powder (to taste)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (10 oz.) can La Paz red chili sauce
    2 (28 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
    1 (27 oz.) can kidney beans
    2 (15 oz.) cans pinto beans
    8 oz. pkg. frozen white corn
    2 (2 1/4 oz.) cans sliced olives
Preparation
    Heat oil in large stock pot.
    Brown onion, pepper, trip tip and garlic.
    Add spices and sugar.
    Saute about 3 minutes.
    Stir in tomato sauce, red chili sauce and drained tomatoes.
    Simmer over low heat about 2 hours.
    Add drained beans, corn and olives. Simmer about 1 more hour.
