Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes, peeled and sliced
    8 c. chicken broth
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. chopped onions
    2 c. grated carrots
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 tsp. mace
    1 to 2 c. cream
Preparation
    Melt butter and saute onions, celery and carrots until golden and soft.
    Add potatoes and broth and cook until potatoes are tender.
    Add mace and salt and pepper to taste.
    Add cream.
