Oatmeal Jumble Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or margarine
1 (10 to 12 oz.) jar preserves
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except preserves; mix well. Reserve 1 cup mixture.
Press remaining mixture onto bottom of pan.
Spread preserves over base to within 1/2 inch of pan's edge. Sprinkle with reserved mixture.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and cut into bars.
