Yellow Summer Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash (about 6 c.), sliced
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    salt (optional)
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    1 c. dairy sour cream (low-fat sour cream can be substituted)
    1 c. shredded carrots
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb-seasoned stuffing mix
    1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine squash and onion in large saucepan.
    Cover with water.
    Season with salt, if desired.
    Cook 5 minutes; drain.
