Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion and green pepper in Crisco in a large skillet. Add beef and brown well.
    Add tomato juice, rice, chili powder and seasonings.
    Pour into casserole.
    Cover.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Yields 4 servings.
