Aunt Lil'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. hot water
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 tsp. ginger
    1 1/4 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream sugar and margarine; add egg and then molasses and mix well.
    Add hot water with baking soda mixed in it.
    Next, add flour, spices and salt and mix well.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or so.
    Serve warm with hard sauce, lemon sauce or whipped cream.
