Black Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried black beans
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tbsp. oil
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 large garlic cloves, minced
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 tsp. dried thyme
    1 1/2 tbsp. cumin
    3 tbsp. chili pepper
    2 c. beef broth or water
    6 c. fluffy, cooked rice, preferably brown
Preparation
    Cover beans with water, bring to boil, simmer 1 minute, turn off heat, cover and soak for 1 hour. Drain and discard water.
