Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. milk (sweet or sour)
Preparation
    Using pastry blender, mix flour, sugar, spices and shortening until crumbly.
    Reserve 1 cup crumbs for topping.
    Dissolve soda in milk.
    Add to crumb mixture and stir until well blended.
    Put batter in 9 x 13 pan and top with reserved crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
