Baked Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    3/4 c. uncooked quick grits
    1 c. shredded Cheddar or American cheese
    2 tsp. margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Bring water to boil.
    Add grits; cook until thick, then add a little of the hot mixture to egg and milk.
    Then add cheese, margarine, salt and garlic powder; mix until smooth.
    Pour into baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Will serve 6.
