Almond Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cold water
2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 c. almonds
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy skillet.
Add sugar, water and white Karo syrup.
Cook to hard crack (290\u00b0 to 300\u00b0), stir constantly.
Add almonds.
Spread on cookie sheet and break in pieces when cool. Great with walnuts, too.
